Duties and Responsibilities:
Analysts are an important part of the banking team. This position will work closely with the real estate and energy practices in all aspects of soliciting new business opportunities and executing live transactions on behalf of clients. This position presents an opportunity for qualified candidates to develop an expansive knowledge of investment banking practices and products for both debt and equity financings.
- Identifying, evaluating, contacting, and presenting to potential client targets
- Engage in business development and marketing activities to generate new and ongoing relationships
- Creating presentation and pitch materials for the solicitation of new business opportunities
- Financial modeling and analysis across multiple industries
- Drafting descriptive memoranda for financing assignments
- Organizing and summarizing due diligence material
- Participating in and supporting the financial closing and post-closing processes
- Supporting asset management and portfolio management tasks and processes
- Compiling and organizing compliance-related material
- Conducting and presenting research and analyses on various market sectors and reporting results internally and to clients, as applicable
- Participating in conferences and events
- Assist with ad-hoc / special projects as needed
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, articulate individual possessing strong analytical, writing and technical skills (including a high level of expertise with Microsoft Office, including deep knowledge of Excel). The candidate must be entrepreneurial and team oriented. The ideal candidate is expected to work fully remote, and as such, a strong work ethic and a great attitude are also critical.
The ideal candidate has 1-5 years of relevant experience and is expected to obtain the necessary investment banking licenses as directed by the firm.
