Position: Global Fund Tax Manager | Boston, MA | $145K–$160K Base + Bonus

Global Fund Tax Manager – Boston, MA

Compensation: $145,000–$160,000 Base + Bonus

A leading global investment management organization is seeking a Global Fund Tax Manager to support tax compliance, advisory, and operational initiatives across a diverse investment platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on complex North American operational fund tax matters, including private funds, alternative investments, and non-traditional product structures.
  • Support and oversee complex fund tax compliance processes and governance frameworks.
  • Identify tax issues impacting sophisticated fund structures and collaborate with internal and external advisors to support business objectives.
  • Provide periodic and ad-hoc tax planning support to portfolio management teams.
  • Advise on operational and strategic tax matters, including internal process development and risk mitigation.
  • Lead and support projects focused on process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency.
  • Manage relationships with external tax service providers and advisors.
  • Lead change initiatives and educate cross-functional teams on tax best practices.
  • Communicate complex tax concepts clearly to both tax and non-tax stakeholders.
Key Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or Law.
  • 7+ years of tax experience, preferably focused on investment funds or asset management.
  • CPA, CA, or ACCA strongly preferred.
  • Deep expertise in complex retail and private investment fund structures.
  • Strong understanding of securities, alternative investments, and evolving asset classes.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies;
    Lean Six Sigma or similar credentials a plus.
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience with tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, or Tableau.
