The opportunity

Our actuarial advisers deliver creative and innovative thinking to clients worldwide, supporting them in making confident financial judgments in support of their business goals. You’ll lead engagement teams, mentor staff, and build your personal brand as a leader.

Key Responsibilities
  • Model development and optimization
  • Model validations and efficiency assessments

  • Financial and regulatory reporting

You’ll support key actuarial modeling practice priorities, focusing on driving innovation, expanding business opportunities, and enhancing market outreach. Collaborate with other practice leaders for go‑to‑market and cross‑service offerings.

  • Develop a strong personal brand and enhance EY’s brand through writing, speaking, and industry participation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related major.
  • Approximately 8+ years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years of people and/or project management.
  • Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries.
  • Strong knowledge of at least one prominent actuarial modeling software platform (e.g., Moodys GGY AXIS, FIS Prophet, Milliman ALFA/Integrate).
  • Strong writing, presentation, conceptual, analytical, project management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage time across multiple projects, and work collaboratively and independently under pressure.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to meet client needs.
Ideally, you’ll also have
  • Experience with key platform library coding modules for actuarial modeling platforms.
  • Solution design expertise, translating business requirements into modeling solutions.
  • Proficiency in model staging and development skill sets.
  • Knowledge of model development lifecycle, change management, and testing procedures.
  • Knowledge of US Life, Health, and Annuity products and associated regulations.
  • Experience with asset modeling and ALM concepts.
  • Experience with Python, R, Julia, or other open‑source coding.
  • Experience leading and overseeing actuarial modeling projects.
