The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance. This opportunity is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience in private equity-backed or SaaS organizations. Salary Range: $150,000 – $180,000 annually plus bonus and equity, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including operating accounting roles in a company.
- Experience in a private equity-backed or high-growth environment preferred.
- Demonstrated success at building an efficient accounting function in a growth company.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with accounting systems (e.g., Net Suite, Quick Books, Sage) and Excel.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.
- Drive an efficient and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Identify and implement ways to accelerate close calendars, improve automation, and streamline processes.
- Consult with other team members on structuring complex transactions to ensure proper accounting and reporting treatment.
- Perform all accounting functions, including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger functions.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies.
- Manage audits and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and reporting obligations.
- Partner with the CFO on strategic initiatives, including M&A integration, systems implementation, and financial modeling.
- Drive process improvements and automation across the finance function.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support business operations and decision-making.
