About The Team/Role
Telecommunications Engineer:
Provides the planning, design, acquisition and implementation of the company’s communications system. Evaluates company requirements to determine whether an internal or other operating system is more appropriate. Conducts project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons. Performs traffic study analysis to determine best configuration of systems.
Note:
May be internal or external, client-focused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and outsourcing functions. May include company‑wide, web‑enabled solutions.
- Manages and operates the company's internal data and telecommunications systems.
- Plans, designs, and installs Cisco Voice equipment in support of enterprise-level VoIP architectures, including Cisco Unified Border Element, Peripheral and VXML Gateways.
- Provide support services for SIP Signaling.
- Troubleshoots network issues and coordinates with vendors for installation of such items as routers, circuits, and other networking components.
- Works on project implementation.
- Provides training and assists with proposal writing.
- Conducts project planning, cost analysis, and vendor comparisons.
- May be internal or external, client-focused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and Outsourcing functions.
- May contribute to company-wide, web-enabled solutions.
- Focuses on ensuring that products and hosted networks are designed and developed to be cyber‑safe and compliant.
- 5+ years of relevant technical telecommunications experience.
- Advanced proficiency in enterprise Cisco voice platform support and design experience.
- The ideal candidate will be fluent in multiple versions of Cisco Voice products.
- Automation & Scripting:
Proficiency in Power Shell, Python, Ansible, or similar languages to automate complex administrative tasks and system integrations. AI experience preferred.
- Cloud‑based voice platforms such as Genesys Pure Cloud
Pay Range: $ - $
The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan.
