What you will be doing:

The VCGT Process Development team is dedicated to advancing innovative solutions in cell and gene therapies. Our team focuses on developing robust, scalable, and efficient manufacturing processes to support the production of cutting‑edge therapies. By leveraging state‑of‑the‑art technologies, data‑driven methodologies, and scientific expertise, we optimize processes for both clinical and commercial manufacturing. In this role, you will develop multivariate analysis methods to support Drug Substance and Drug Product manufacturing processes, identify multifactorial impacts on product quality, and uncover correlations using tools such as Principal Component Analysis (PCA) or other statistical techniques.

You’ll use these analyses to detect potential process drifts, determine root causes of complex investigations, and identify opportunities for process improvement. Additionally, you will design and implement computational tools to efficiently sort, organize, and visualize data trends, presenting complex information in a clear and simplified manner to support decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to create and apply multivariate analysis techniques (e.g., PCA) for manufacturing processes, delivering analysis reports and visualizations that identify critical process parameters.
  • Analyze manufacturing data to determine key variables that influence product quality and performance, working closely with internal stakeholders to gather data, interpret results, and present findings.
  • Use statistical tools and data visualization techniques to monitor processes and identify potential drifts or deviations, providing regular updates and reports to process development and quality teams.
  • Use data insights to identify opportunities for enhancing manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and overall process performance; work with cross‑functional teams to implement and validate process improvements.
What you will need to succeed
  • Enrolled in an undergraduate program as a Junior or Senior in Engineering, Mathematics, Bioinformatics, or another related field.
  • Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., JMP or similar tools).
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including data organization and analysis.
  • Experience with multivariate analysis techniques and methodologies.
