Position: Technical Leader - SMR Power Island Mechanical Systems Applications

Job Description Summary

The Technical Leader for Power Island Mechanical Systems Applications will be part of a multi-discipline applications engineering team of dedicated engineers responsible for the deployment of GVH SMR plant technology (e.g. BWRX-300 Standard Plant) across multiple US and international sites, including comprehensive engineering input to the development of new plant proposals, early works agreements and new product offerings.

In this position, you will provide technical leadership for power island mechanical systems engineering activities supporting SMR site applications within a coordinated EPC project delivery framework. While coordinating closely with project controls and mechanical engineering discipline subject matter experts, you will drive on time and on budget delivery of quality engineering technical products. Key to your success is the early identification of risks, scope gaps, and execution challenges to drive mitigation strategies.

You will lead and coordinate a small team of mechanical systems engineers, assigning work based on project priorities, skillsets, and developmental goals to ensure effective workload planning and resource utilization. Working at the intersection of site applications engineering, team leadership, engineering project development, and engineering performance management, you will ensure the overall project success of new site applications in the field of mechanical systems engineering.
