Overview
Field Application Engineer – Maritime Autonomy
We’re supporting a fast-growing maritime autonomy company bringing AI-driven intelligence to USVs and commercial vessels, improving safety, enabling remote operation, and increasing productivity at sea.
We’re hiring a Field Application Engineer based in Boston.
Responsibilities- Install and commission autonomous systems on customer vessels worldwide
- Troubleshoot marine controls, PLCs, electronics, and integrated hardware/software, electrical troubleshooting
- Support customers and dealers during deployment and in-service operations
- Monitor system performance and resolve field issues
- Travel globally (25-50%), with a travel bonus of up to 25%
- 5+ years’ experience installing or servicing complex systems
- Hands-on background in marine systems (not a necessity), vessel controls, PLCs, and electronics (HVAC background translates well)
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
- Confident, customer-facing communication style
A great fit for engineers who enjoy being out on the field, solving real-world problems, and working with cutting-edge maritime autonomy.
They can pay circa $100k – $140k with up to a 25% travel bonus.
US Citizenship needed.
