Building Management Systems Engineer

An established and growing building controls specialist is seeking a BMS Controls Engineer with a strong background in software programming, system integration, and commissioning
.

This role is focused primarily on the programming and integration side of BMS projects rather than installation. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-performance building management and energy management solutions across commercial and industrial environments.

Experience with
Johnson Controls (Metasys) is advantageous; however, engineers with experience across other major BMS platforms such as Trend, Tridium/Niagara, Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell or similar systems are encouraged to apply.

• Programming and commissioning of BMS/control systems
• Development of control strategies for HVAC plant (AHUs, FCUs, chillers, boilers, VAVs, etc.)
• Integration of third-party systems including energy meters, lighting controls, access control, and other building systems
• Energy management optimisation and system performance improvements
• Modification and upgrading of existing BMS installations
• System diagnostics, fault-finding, and technical support
• Production of technical documentation including descriptions of operation and points schedules
• Collaboration with project managers, mechanical and electrical teams during project delivery

• Proven experience as a BMS Engineer or Controls Engineer
• Strong software programming and integration capability
• Solid understanding of HVAC control principles
• Experience with industry communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, IP, MSTP, etc.)
• Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
• Commissioning and troubleshooting experience
• Full driving licence (if site-based role)
• Energy monitoring and optimisation systems
