AECOM is a global infrastructure consulting firm delivering projects that create a positive and tangible impact around the world. We are seeking a Hazardous Building Material/Industrial Hygiene Project Manager for immediate employment in the Northeast department of the EHS & Air Practice.
Responsibilities- Managing and/or self-performing a wide range of hazardous building material and industrial hygiene projects for private and public‑sector clients.
- Collaborating with other licensed/certified professionals and technical/regulatory specialists on survey, abatement/remediation design, and abatement activities.
- Providing technical and/or regulatory leadership for projects throughout New England, the United States, and internationally.
- Developing proposals, including work scope, budgets, and schedules for hazardous building material survey, design, and abatement projects.
- Managing or reviewing technical work and field activities to ensure compliance with contracted scope, budget, schedule, and regulatory/industry standards.
- Preparing written reports, work plans, and technical memoranda; analyzing data and developing supported conclusions.
- Working collaboratively with other teams within the EHS department, Environment business line, and across AECOM’s other internal business lines.
- Proactively identifying opportunities to increase project efficiencies and add value to client service offerings.
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and supporting department growth through internal and external sales.
- BA/BS + 8 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Technical experience directly related to building hazardous material (asbestos, lead paint, etc.).
- Industrial hygiene, mold, or indoor air quality experience.
- 40‑hour OSHA HAZWOPER training.
- EPA AHERA Asbestos Inspector Certification.
- New England State specific licenses and certifications pertaining to asbestos (MA, ME, NH, CT) or eligibility to obtain such licenses.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review.
- US citizenship required.
- EPA Asbestos Management Planner, EPA Asbestos Project Designer, EPA Asbestos Supervisor, EPA Lead Risk Assessor.
- New England State Asbestos Designer licenses (MA, CT, ME).
- Experience with strategy and growth plan development and execution.
- Certified Industrial Hygienist.
- Certified Safety Professional.
- Experience building client relationships, business development, and client management.
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills; technical writing proficiency.
- Internally driven, self‑starter, team oriented.
$105,000 to $150,000 annually.
