Citrix Upgrade Specialist

Akkodis is seeking a Citrix Server Upgrade Specialist for a contract position with a client located in Boston, MA. Candidates must have proven experience upgrading Citrix servers from Windows Server 2016 to Windows Server 2025. This role involves designing and implementing new server/application infrastructure and supporting user migration to the upgraded platform.

Pay Range: This position pays $56-$58 per hour.

• Perform and distribute weekly status reports and project summaries.
• Support infrastructure changes, new server hardware deployments, and associated timelines.
• Coordinate data center provisioning and related activities.
• Install, test, validate, and migrate legacy LOB client applications to the new Server 2025 environment.
• Provide design and implementation support for new server/application infrastructure.
• Support user migration to the upgraded platform.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 10 years supporting Windows and Citrix server infrastructure.
• Strong background in data center server environments.
• Experience with Citrix user and application migrations.
• Ability to remotely guide and collaborate with field teams on installations and troubleshooting.
• Excellent documentation skills, including network diagrams and SOPs.

• Familiarity with Windows Server 2016/2019/2025.
• Experience with Citrix infrastructure and application publishing/end-user support.
