Base Pay Range$70,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year. Pay is hourly based on hours worked. Individual pay determined by location and skills.
TRB attendees will work across a diverse range of transportation sectors, including:
- Rail and Transit Multimodal facilities, automated guideways, paratransit systems, bus facilities and depots, aerial, at‑grade, and underground stations, elevated structures, tunnels, and line structures.
- Bridges and Tunnels—comprehensive design, construction management, and inspection services.
- Highways and Roads—planning, design, and maintenance expertise.
- Aviation Services—airport infrastructure and operations.
- Ports and Maritime—port planning, capital projects, maintenance, container terminals, intermodal integration, jetties, quays, and coastal defense schemes.
Planners on our team focus on asset and fleet management plans, multi‑modal corridor planning, and help agencies improve service plans, operations, and infrastructure. We assist with the preparation of planning studies, alternative analyses, impact assessments and technical reports, working under the direction of a project manager or senior planner.
Engineers on our team handle a range of challenging projects, including conducting site investigations, performing engineering calculations, developing design drawings with CAD software, preparing technical specifications, and contributing to environmental impact assessments. Tasks encompass roadway alignment design, traffic signal timing, bridge structural analysis, and transit system capacity studies. Engineers receive mentorship from Professional Engineers and ample opportunities for growth.

This requisition is being posted to create a talent pipeline for a conference recruiting event and is not related to one specific need. It will not be filled as a specific position but may serve as a candidate pool for future hiring.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Transportation/Urban Planning, or related engineering fields.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or the ability to obtain one within a year of hire.
- Familiarity with CADD/Design software (preferably AutoCAD, Micro Station, Open Roads, Geopak).
- Strong self‑motivation, problem‑solving, and team‑oriented work practices with excellent communication, organizational skills, and multitasking ability.
- Authorization to work within the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
- Previous internship or project experience in transportation planning or engineering, including conducting traffic impact studies, preparing preliminary engineering reports for roadway and transit infrastructure projects, evaluating transportation system efficiency, and analyzing traffic flow patterns and multimodal networks.
