WhatYou Will Do
We have an excellent opportunity within our transportation development permitting group. The successful candidate will assist senior staff on a variety of transportation engineering projects. Specific task work will include trip generation calculations, bicycle level of stress analysis, traffic operations analysis, transit capacity analysis, parking demand assessments, transportation conceptual planning, site design assistance, and transportation report production.
Required Skills and Experience- Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation Engineering or Planning
- E.I.T. Registration a plus
- 0-2 years’ experience
- Experience with traffic impact assessments and the development permitting process
- Experience with traffic analysis software such as Synchro, HCS, VISSIM, etc.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Auto Turn a plus
- Familiarity with the City of Boston and MassDOT traffic impact analysis and design a plus
- Microsoft Office Suite (Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work in a team environment as an individual contributor and enjoy learning
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to utilize critical thinking and judgment to define, analyze, and resolve problems and issues

Salary range: $76,000 - $85,000
The salary range displayed is a good-faith estimate of the base pay for this position. The salary offered to the successful candidate will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and market conditions. The salary range does not include additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses or benefits, which may be part of the total compensation package.
