Position: Vice President for Transportation Engineering - Rail

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth and expansion of transit and rail services in the New England region. The firm is known for providing integrated solutions across construction, design, environmental, and technology sectors, serving both public and private sector clients. With a strong track record and a commitment to strengthening relationships and capabilities, this position plays a key role in shaping the firm’s strategic direction in the transit and rail market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for surface transportation clients, with a focus on transit and rail.
  • Lead major pursuits and programs in the role of Project Manager or Project Director.
  • Develop and oversee comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Lead, manage, and motivate project teams to ensure cohesive and efficient operations.
  • Support multiple transportation clients in the Boston area, providing strategic direction and expertise.
  • Establish and execute client pursuit strategies to strengthen business opportunities.
  • Attract, mentor, and retain top industry talent to expand the transit and rail practice in the region.
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience in engineering or construction, with a strong focus on major rail projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; Massachusetts PE license required.
  • Proven ability to drive business growth across multiple disciplines, with a specialization in transit and rail.
  • Demonstrated leadership in setting industry standards, fostering innovation, and ensuring high-quality project delivery.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
