Sarinas Consulting has partnered with a prestigious civil engineering and land development firm to support the growth of its surveying team. This well-established firm is known for delivering high-quality civil engineering, land surveying, and consulting services across Central and Eastern Massachusetts.
The firm is seeking a licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to play a key role in delivering accurate, compliant, and well-coordinated survey services across a diverse project portfolio.
Position OverviewThe Professional Land Surveyor will be responsible for leading and supporting land surveying projects from fieldwork through final plans. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and construction teams.
Key Responsibilities- Perform boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction surveys
- Analyze survey data and prepare plans, maps, and legal descriptions
- Verify property boundaries and resolve discrepancies in land records
- Collaborate with civil engineers, architects, and construction teams
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Manage survey crews and oversee field operations
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records
- Utilize GPS, GIS, and CAD technologies for data collection and mapping
- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Active Massachusetts Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license
- 3–5+ years of professional land surveying experience
- Proficiency with survey instruments, GPS systems, and CAD software
- Strong understanding of land surveying laws and standards
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
- GIS mapping and data management
- Drone surveying and/or LiDAR exposure
- Project or crew management experience
