OverviewTRC is seeking an experienced Consultant to join TRC ‘s Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) Team. We are a well-recognized and branded advisory services team that is rapidly growing with strong key client relationships in corporate strategics, private equity firms, investment banks, and law firms across the globe. As a key player within the TAS team, you will have the opportunity to work with key clients principally located in the US, EU, and Asia.
This is a great opportunity to grow professionally as well as contribute to the accelerated growth of the TAS business.
This role includes participating in transaction due diligence scopes of work focused on identifying environmental, health & safety (EHS) and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risks and post-acquisition value-creation opportunities using ESG risk screens and other means to quickly assess and communicate risks to investment professionals across a broad range market sectors core to TAS’s client base, including:
Industrials, Petro-Chemicals, Oil & Gas, Consumer, Infrastructure, Transportation, and Aerospace.
- Reviewing environmental databases and historical resource documents.
- Reviewing environmental and safety related documents in a virtual data room.
- Conducting due diligence assessments consistent with ASTM Phase I standards and other global protocols, including broad-based limited compliance assessments at industrial and commercial facilities.
- Prepare concise TAS due diligence reports, liability estimations etc., and other deliverables that assess potential environmental liability risks, compliance and operational status.
- Collaborate and coordinate with TRC personnel, offices and different practices throughout the US and UK.
- Execute projects that involve:
- Analyzing company or portfolio EHS risks and controls for clients during transaction due diligence or asset management.
- Identifying post-acquisition value-creation opportunities to develop and maintain private equity client’s EHS strategies.
- Contribute to TAS’s team-oriented culture in creating a productive, collaborative and innovative advisory services business within TRC.
- Some travel is required.
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in sustainability, engineering, public policy, or environmental science with relevant work experience preferred in business, corporate social and environmental issues, or related fields.
- 5-7 years of experience in EHS due diligence and/or ESG and Sustainability management or consulting.
- Proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including confidence presenting to large groups, proposal writing, and enjoy networking and meeting new people.
