Pennoni is currently seeking a welding inspector with AWS certification for Quality Assurance Inspection in New England during fabrication shops producing bridge and highway structures for transportation agencies.

• Inspection of welding, steel fabrication, coatings, expansion joints, bridge bearings, sign structures, bridge beams, drainage structures, and other materials
• Monitoring work for compliance with approved shop drawings, standards, and specifications
• Communicating and meeting with fabricators, clients, and engineers
• Production of daily written shop reports

• Minimum Education:
  
  High School
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector
• Computer Skills:
  Microsoft windows and Microsoft Office applications
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to work well independently and with others
• Reliable transportation
• Experience performing QA/QC during steel bridge and highway fabrication is a plus.
• Non-Destructive Testing certifications (e.g.: UT, RT, MT, PT) is a plus.
• AWS D1.1/D1.5 experience is a plus.
• Coating inspection experience is a plus.
