The Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University invites applications for a tenure‑track Assistant Professor position in Latin American Studies, beginning on or before July 1, 2026. The search is open to applicants from all disciplines and functional specializations. Successful candidates will demonstrate potential for excellence in any discipline relevant to international affairs and share a commitment to the Pardee School's institutional values and to Advancing Human Progress.

Responsibilities- Teach at least one required course on Latin America, as well as courses in the candidate's area of functional expertise.
- Advise and mentor undergraduate, graduate, and master’s students.
- Participate in the university’s intellectual life, service, and research community.
- Ph.D. (or equivalent) in International Relations, Latin American Studies, or a related field.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching.
- A distinguished record of publication and research with policy relevance.
- Policy experience and multidisciplinary, empirically‑grounded research encouraged.
Salary will be set within the advertised range based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and internal pay comparison. Faculty receive a standard benefits package (details available upon request).
