Mother Caroline Academy is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Spanish (Foreign Language) Teacher who understands the developmental needs of girls in grades 3–8 and is committed to closing opportunity gaps through engaging, culturally responsive instruction and joyful learning.
The ideal candidate will design and deliver interactive Spanish language instruction that builds students’ proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. This educator will cultivate a classroom environment that encourages risk-taking, confidence, and authentic language use while fostering appreciation for Spanish-speaking cultures around the world.
The Spanish Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering standards-based lessons aligned to ACTFL World Language standards, using data to monitor language acquisition progress, and differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs. This teacher will collaborate closely with colleagues to integrate language learning across the curriculum and contribute to a vibrant, mission-driven school community.

Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s degree in Education, Spanish, World Languages, or related field preferred (or in progress). - Fluency in Spanish required; native or near-native proficiency strongly preferred.
- Preferred:
Prior experience teaching Spanish or World Language at the elementary or middle school level, with evidence of student growth in language acquisition. - Demonstrated understanding of ACTFL standards and communicative language teaching practices.
- Experience designing engaging, interactive lessons that promote speaking and listening as primary drivers of language acquisition.
- Ability to differentiate instruction for varying proficiency levels and support heritage speakers and novice learners alike.
