Boston Green Academy is seeking a full‑time Instructional Coach (BTU). This position will provide support and coaching for teachers throughout the school in grades 7‑12, primarily in the areas of English Language Arts and History/Humanities, design and lead professional development, coordinate with school leadership, other coaches, and the instructional leadership team, and enable school‑wide instructional growth that results in increased student achievement.
Participate in our all‑school summer professional development that begins on August 31, 2026. DESE certification in ELA or History/Humanities required (grades 8‑12 and/or 6‑8); DESE certification in special education (moderate) preferred.

Principal/ Head of School
Responsibilities- Provide professional support and technical assistance to teachers and monitor to ensure the full implementation of the instructional focus and expectations.
- Set up effective classroom environments, assist in planning effective lessons, conduct and debrief demonstration classes, co‑teach occasional classes, provide in‑class coaching, including videotaping and debriefing lessons, assist in planning school‑based professional development during and after school, including workshops, study groups, looking‑at‑student‑work‑and‑data sessions, and peer observations.
- Assist in the proper implementation of BPS mid‑ and end‑of‑year assessments, as well as the analysis and response to results.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date log of all activities in and out of classrooms, including activities, objectives, teachers worked with, outcomes, next steps, and timelines.
- Monitor individual teacher progress.
- Monitor teacher participation in professional development activities, and the consequent implementation of curriculum and instructional strategies by meeting with principals and other school supervisors.
- Participate in all professional development activities, including weekly meetings focused on implementation coordination, problem‑solving, and coaches’ professional development, and additional training opportunities provided during the school year and, if possible, during the summer.
- Share lead responsibility for selected elements of the instructional focus (e.g., assessment development, data gathering, and analysis, professional development regarding selected instructional strategies). Perform additional responsibilities as requested by the Principal.
- Hold a valid Massachusetts Teaching License in appropriate content area.
- Experience and demonstrated expertise as a teacher of relevant content and/or subjects.
- Demonstrated success working with teachers and administrators as a professional development provider, team leader, and/or facilitator.
