Our client, a respected non-profit organization dedicated to supporting youth development, is seeking a motivated School Operations Coordinator to serve at two local schools. This pivotal role involves managing daily school activities, fostering community partnerships, and supporting student success during a two-month leave of absence. Compensation$ per hour based on experience
HoursMonday - Friday, 8:15am-3:15pm
Position DurationThis is a 2+ month contract position.
Responsibilities- Lead the coordination of daily school operations, ensuring smooth logistical flow.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new students, easing their transition into high school.
- Implement and document attendance policies and procedures accurately.
- Build and sustain community partnerships to enhance student resources and opportunities.
- Organize and supervise mentorship, tutoring, and volunteer programs.
- Manage the intake process, including outreach efforts to prospective students.
- Plan and execute school events such as portfolio reviews and graduation ceremonies.
- Collect, analyze, and maintain relevant data and documentation related to student progress and services.
- Conduct targeted workshops to support a diverse student body and their families.
- Oversee the maintenance of counseling and guidance records, including assessment data.
- Support grant writing efforts to develop and expand school programs.
- Collaborate with counseling staff during case conferences and planning sessions.
- Attend required meetings, trainings, and community engagement activities.
Advocate for student needs by contributing to policy discussions and initiatives. - Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- One to three years of experience in management or educational administration.
- Demonstrated commitment to youth development and education.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with detail-oriented focus.
- Strong computer proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Flexibility to participate in community activities, trainings, and meetings outside standard hours.
- Ability to effectively work with individuals from diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and educational backgrounds.
