Role OverviewThe Research Associate supports Grove Partners’ campaign and client work through rigorous research, high-quality writing, and day-to-day execution of strategic initiatives. This individual will work closely with senior leadership to translate strategy into action—producing written materials, monitoring policy developments, and supporting stakeholder and grassroots engagement across a diverse portfolio of campaigns.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role suited for a detail-oriented and intellectually curious professional who is eager to contribute meaningfully to high-impact public affairs, communications, and advocacy work.
Key Responsibilities Campaign Execution & Research Support- Support senior team members in executing and implementing campaign strategies and tactics across client engagements.
- Monitor and track key policy developments, synthesizing complex information into clear and actionable insights.
- Conduct background research to support messaging, stakeholder engagement, and campaign decision-making.
- Assist in the creation and development of written materials including articles, blog posts, social media content, white papers, case studies, and data-driven reports.
- Edit and proofread written materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency with Grove Partners’ standards.
- Help translate complex policy, data, or technical concepts into accessible content for non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with internal team members to enhance written content with visuals such as infographics, charts, and design elements.
- Support stakeholder and grassroots engagement efforts through research, content development, and follow-through.
- Stay attuned to client needs, preferences, and challenges to ensure effective execution of assigned tactics.
- Bachelor’s degree in public policy, English, communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a writer, researcher, content creator, or in a similar role.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- 1-2 years full-time experience working on a political campaign or in a public affairs, advocacy, or communications environment.
- Familiarity with grassroots engagement, campaign tactics, and storytelling techniques.
- Demonstrated creativity and curiosity across a wide range of policy and industry topics.
- A collaborative, entrepreneurial team environment with direct access to senior leadership.
- Base salary of $60,000-$65,000.
