Visual Arts Teacher

We are currently seeking a full-time

Visual

Arts teacher to begin in fall 2026. The position involves teaching primarily Lower School (grades 5-8), covering topics including drawing, painting, printmaking, digital media, sculpture and clay. Experience teaching both analog and digital photography is preferred. The position also includes ancillary duties as assigned.

• Teach Lower School (grades 5-8) in Visual Arts subjects.
• Plan and deliver instruction in drawing, painting, printmaking, digital media, sculpture and clay.
• Incorporate both analog and digital photography, when appropriate.
• Use technology effectively in the teaching and learning process.
• Engage in community and inclusion work.
• Perform ancillary duties as assigned.

• Teaching artist with at least five years of teaching experience.
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher).
• Preference for working with students in grades 5-12.
• Commitment to community and inclusion work.
• Understanding of the importance of teacher engagement in community life.
• Experience using a variety of pedagogical approaches in the classroom.

Benefits included as of start date: medical, dental, vision and 403(b) retirement plan. Salaries are based on step scale $72,572-$142,919.
