Part-time Lecturer in Actuarial Science, Metropolitan College
Boston University’s Metropolitan College is seeking applicants for part‑time teaching positions in Actuarial Science. Candidates with strong backgrounds in related quantitative areas are also encouraged to apply.
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Salary: $7,880 per 4‑credit course (probationary) or $10,260 (post‑probationary). One to two courses may be taught per semester depending on departmental needs.
Position Type: Part‑time
Responsibilities: Contribute to the academic community through innovative scholarship, engaged teaching, and participation in the intellectual life of the University. Deliver lectures, develop course materials, and assess student learning in a flexible delivery format (face‑to‑face, blended, online).
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in a related field preferred;
- Master’s degree or Associateship/Fellowship in Society of Actuaries or Casualty Actuarial Society required.
- Prior teaching or professional experience in the discipline is a strong advantage.
