Lecturer, Romance Studies, College of Arts & Sciences Position
The Department of Romance Studies at Boston University invites applications for a full-time Lecturer in Spanish, beginning July 1, 2026. Candidates must have native or near‑native proficiency in Spanish and English, a Master’s degree or PhD in Spanish, Language Acquisition, or a related field, and at least three years of college‑level teaching experience demonstrating excellence. We seek individuals who demonstrate a commitment to inclusive and innovative language teaching practices.
Responsibilities include teaching six courses per year, from beginning to advanced language and culture, coordinating multi‑section language courses, and contributing to curriculum development in a dynamic and collaborative language program. Proficiency in Portuguese is a plus. The starting salary for this position is $72,000. The position offers a professional career track with possibilities for growth.
