The Department of Romance Studies at Boston University invites applications for a full‑time Lecturer in Spanish, beginning July 1, 2026. Candidates must have native or near‑native proficiency in Spanish and English, a Master’s degree or PhD in Spanish, Language Acquisition, or a related field, and at least three years of college‑level teaching experience demonstrating excellence. We seek individuals who demonstrate a commitment to inclusive and innovative language teaching practices.
Responsibilities- Teach six courses per year, from beginning to advanced language and culture.
- Coordinate multi‑section language courses.
- Contribute to curriculum development in a dynamic and collaborative language program.
- Proficiency in Portuguese is a plus.
- Native or near‑native proficiency in Spanish.
- Master’s degree or PhD in Spanish, Language Acquisition, or a related field.
- At least three years of college‑level teaching experience demonstrating excellence.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive and innovative teaching practices.
