Position OverviewWe’re looking for a Lead Teacher/Director who brings both leadership and heart. This person will guide daily programming, support staff, and nurture strong relationships with children, families, and schools. In this role, you set the tone for a warm, structured, and inspiring environment where every child feels seen and capable.
Key Responsibilities Program LeadershipOversee daily operations of the after‑school site, ensuring a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment.
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons, activities, and enrichment experiences.
Foster a culture of curiosity, respect, and enthusiasm for learning.
Child Development & Family PartnershipBuild trusting relationships with children and monitor their social, emotional, and academic growth.
Communicate regularly with families, offering insights, encouragement, and partnership.
Collaborate with schools and community partners to support student success.
Team ManagementSupervise, coach, and mentor program staff and volunteers.
Lead team meetings, provide ongoing feedback, and support professional development.
Model patience, positivity, and high expectations for the team and children.
Administration & ComplianceMaintain attendance records, incident reports, and required documentation.
Ensure program meets licensing standards and organizational policies.
Manage scheduling, supplies, and site logistics.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or related field preferred.
At least 2–3 years of experience working with school‑aged children; leadership experience strongly valued.
Strong communication, organization, and team‑building skills.
Ability to create a learning environment that is inclusive, joyful, and grounded in respect for all children and families.
