Salary Grade: 47. Expected Hiring Range: $62,525.00 - $72,000.00. The final salary will be set based on a variety of factors, including departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and internal pay comparison.
Essential Functions- Provide career advising and career education programs for College of Engineering with a primary focus on graduate students.
- Serve as team lead for marketing & communications for a six‑person full‑service career office.
- Facilitate individual advising, workshops, career courses, and online resources.
- Organize career fairs hosted in fall and spring, both in‑person and virtual.
- Develop alumni mentorship & networking programs.
- Lead employer outreach and event hosting.
- Deliver high‑quality marketing to promote events, programs, and opportunities.
- Conduct survey & data collection on internship and first‑destination outcomes.
- Provide 1:1 career advising for students from all College of Engineering programs, with special emphasis on advising undergraduate students.
- Create, deliver, and continually improve career education programs.
- Create and continually improve career education content, including how‑to guides and online video instruction.
- Provide outreach to student groups to deliver partnered career programs, especially events related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Serve as team lead in one of the following support functions, based on strengths and interests:
- Event Planning & Management
- Marketing & Communications
- Employer Engagement
- Alumni Engagement
- Data & Platform Management
- Career Education Content Management
- Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s degree preferred. - 3-5 years of related experience.
- Experience in career advising or related field.
- Strong marketing and communications skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage events and outreach programs.
