Position: Early Literacy Tutor K-3 (Part-Time)

Role Overview

Early Literacy Tutor (K‑3), Part‑Time, Boston, MA. This position will begin Feb. 2026. As a tutor you will advocate, mentor, and guide students, providing instructional services in reading, mathematics, and writing.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional methods as determined by the Company.
  • Consult with school personnel to coordinate efforts in providing services to students.
  • Communicate with parents, providing information on student progress.
  • Deliver instructional methods in readiness, reading, mathematics, and/or writing skills using Company‑designed materials.
  • Develop and maintain individualized lesson plans.
  • Ensure supervision of students, including escorting them safely to and from sessions.
  • Maintain student forms and files as required by the Company, local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Attend and document meetings/training with supervisors, teachers, principals, and parents as required.
  • Maintain inventory of educational materials and supplies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Four‑year degree and some work experience with children.
  • FBI/BCI background check required.
  • Teaching experience preferred.
  • Belief that all children can learn.
  • Ability to navigate online platforms for record keeping and communication.
Pay Rate

USD $35.00–$36.00 per hour.

Physical Requirements

Light lifting, walking, and climbing stairs. Most programs are in school settings.
