Position: Research Assistant - Summer 2026 COACH College Program

The opportunity

The College COACH summer internship is a paid program running from Monday, June 8-Friday, August 14, 2026
. In addition to on-the-job training and work experience, the program includes workshops and additional development programs. College students will work 35 hours/week. Interns will earn $17.50-$21.50/hour.

This role is hybrid (3-4 days/week onsite) at 401 Park Drive, Boston. Specific work hours will be determined by the supervisor.

What you’ll do
  • Opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in clinical research while working closely with experienced professionals
  • Assisting with data collection and entry, conducting literature reviews, and supporting study coordination activities such as scheduling meetings and preparing documentation
  • Prepare datasets for analysis, draft summaries and reports, and contribute to internal presentations
  • Regular participation in team meetings and collaboration with faculty and staff
  • Exposure to the research process and an opportunity to develop practical skills that will support future career growth
  • Attend a 2-day program orientation and onboarding
  • Participate in virtual and in-person workshops and activities

Who you are
  • You are an undergraduate college student in good academic standing and will be enrolled in a two‑or four‑year program for Fall 2026, and you are interested in working in healthcare
  • Demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, and initiative in learning new skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office tools, basic research methods, and data entry, as well as willing to learn new software or research platforms
  • Time management and organizational skills are essential to balance multiple tasks and meet deadlines

    Those selected for the internship program will complete onboarding by May to ensure a smooth start to the program. This includes:
    • Scheduling an appointment during one of our on‑site onboarding days
    • Obtaining appropriate work permits and documentation, as needed
    • Health records
    • Proof of Employment Eligibility
    • Media release

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good‑faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job‑related factors.
