Teacher - Early Childhood and Moderate Disabilities/Inclusion Gr K2 (SEI Endorsement Required) (SY25-26)
Boston Public Schools is looking for an exceptional Early Childhood and Special Education Teacher with an SEI endorsement to join our team. Diligent educators who wish to make a high-impact difference in inclusive, English‑language learner settings are encouraged to apply.

Principal/Head of School
- Teach the Early Childhood general curriculum in an inclusive setting for students with special needs and English language learners.
- Implement district learning goals and objectives in alignment with state frameworks and identify student portfolio access points.
- Provide small‑group instruction for students diagnosed with moderate to severe cognitive delays to ensure understanding and progress.
- Write and implement goals and objectives consistent with student Individualized Education Plans (IEPs); provide timely progress reports.
- Provide accommodations for student learning and testing; develop and implement curriculum and prepare students for MCAS Alternative Assessment.
- Collaborate as a team member to support other staff in modifying instruction to meet student needs.

- Bachelor’s degree.
- Massachusetts Teaching License in Moderate Disabilities (PK‑8) AND Early Childhood AND SEI Endorsement or ESL License (PK‑6).
- Meet all state and federal guidelines for full licensure and High Qualification.
- Meet Boston Public Schools Standards of Effective Teaching.
- Authorized to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
- Experience teaching in urban schools.
- Degree in Special Education.
- Fluency in one of BPS official languages (Spanish, Creole, Chinese, Vietnamese, Portuguese, Somali).
- Certifications in Moderate Disabilities and/or English as a Second Language at appropriate grade levels.
