Boston Public Schools seeks an exceptional Vocational Tech (Culinary Arts) Teacher at Melvin H. King South End Academy (MHKSEA). This position offers an annual stipend of $9,446.00 and involves teaching vocational culinary skills aligned with state curriculum frameworks, maintaining a safe learning environment, and meeting licensure requirements.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing a vocational technical course of study tailored to student needs
• Aligning content with the school's curriculum map to ensure equitable outcomes
• Maintaining all required licensure

Minimum qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred qualifications:

• Massachusetts Teaching License in Moderate Disabilities
• Experience in urban schools or industry settings
• OSHA-10 certification or willingness to obtain it
• Industry-recognized credentials relevant to the curriculum
• Fluency in BPS's official languages (Spanish, Creole, Chinese, Vietnamese, Portuguese, Somali)
