One-Year Full-time Artist-in-Residence Faculty Position I On-Camera Acting and Scene Study

Join the Department of Performing Arts at Emerson College. We invite applications for a one-year, full-time Artist-in-Residence faculty term position in On-Camera Acting and Scene Study for our BFA performance programs.

Appointment begins August 20, 2026 with mandatory 2-day orientation on August 20 & 21, 2026.

• Teach core courses:
  On Camera Acting, Advanced On Camera Acting, and Scene Study for BFA Theatre, Performance, and BFA Acting students.
• May teach additional advanced acting classes based on expertise.
• Mentor students and assist in admissions audition process.
• Advise on Emerson Stage and support productions.
• Serve on departmental and college committees and participate in shared governance.

• MFA degree in Acting or extensive professional credits.
• Experience teaching acting at the college level or in a professional studio setting.
• Professional acting credits in both film/television and stage; film and television credits listed on IMDB.
• Member of SAG/AFTRA.
