Mass General Brigham is recruiting an academic Headache Neurologist to join the nationally recognized John R. Graham Headache Center within the Division of Headache and Facial Pain and Department of Neurology. This position offers the opportunity to practice at a leading multidisciplinary headache center with a strong commitment to clinical excellence, innovation, and education. Candidates with expertise in the diagnosis and management of primary and secondary headache disorders are encouraged to apply.

Position overview

  • Outpatient evaluation and longitudinal management of migraine, cluster headache, trigeminal autonomic cephalalgias, tension-type headache, post-traumatic headache, CSF pressure disorders, and other headache syndromes
  • Evidence-based pharmacologic, non-pharmacologic, and procedural headache interventions
  • Mentor headache fellows, residents and medical students
  • Pursue your scholarly interests in headache medicine

About the John Graham Headache Center

  • 12 MDs and 9 APPs
  • 2-3 Headache fellows each year
  • Sites at both Mass General and Brigham and Women’s Hospital
  • Weekly division conferences that include case conferences, interdisciplinary pain and headache rounds, journal clubs, research presentations, and subspecialty program updates
  • State of the art clinical and research infrastructure equipped with AI and ambient dictation tools that reduce documentation burden
  • Close collaborations with the Osher Center for Integrative Health and the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine at Mass General Brigham

Academic appointment and teaching

Faculty will hold an academic title Instructor, Assistant, or Associate at Harvard Medical School, determined according to the candidate’s experience and scholarship in the field. A strong commitment to teaching is required as it is expected that the candidate engage in education of the Harvard community a minimum of 50 hours per year. Faculty with a Harvard appointment gain access to many key resources (e.g. Harvard libraries) and a rich community of scholars.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a Massachusetts medical license upon position start date and be board-certified or board-eligible in neurology. Additional conditions of employment are provided at this link.
