The Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH) Department of Neurology is seeking an accomplished physician scientist in neurology to serve as the Division Chief of Movement Disorders and to join the faculty of Harvard Medical School. The position prioritizes research and the applicant should have strong interest and demonstrated excellence in degenerative movement disorders including Parkinson's disease, atypical parkinsonian disorders, and cerebellar ataxias.

Responsibilities
  • The candidate will oversee the administrative, clinical, research and educational activities of the Department of Neurology.
  • The candidate will teach, supervise, and mentor Harvard medical students, residents, fellows, and junior faculty.
  • This position requires 80 percent research/administrative and 20 percent clinical work.
Qualifications
  • MD and PhD, with completed neurology and movement disorders residency and fellowship.
  • Board‑eligible or certified in Neurology, and a Massachusetts medical license.
  • Relevant postdoctoral training in neuroscience/stem cell biology or a closely related field.
  • Academic rank of Associate Professor or higher, with a strong basic and clinical research background and associated scholarship.
  • Track record of mentoring and teaching trainees and administrative experience.
