The Department of Neurology is seeking a Headache Specialist to join our team at Tufts Medical Center.
Responsibilities- Transforming patient care
. Provide care on the following services:
Tufts Medical Center Neurology Boston clinic;
Tufts Medical Center Neurology Framingham clinic (if desired). - Direct patient management
. Directly manage patients with the highest complexity and refractory headache syndromes. - Program development
. Develop programs to manage acute and worsening headache syndromes that minimize Emergency Department utilization, such as infusion center protocols. - Inpatient and elective care
. Support and develop protocols for elective inpatient admissions for refractory headaches (status migrainosus, autonomic/trigeminal neuralgic cephalgias). - Procedural expansion
. Increase procedures offered to patients with refractory headache syndromes (e.g., botulinum toxin, nerve blocks). - Education
. Provide continuing education to Neurology clinicians on headache management to improve overall practice competency.

The Department of Neurology is a dynamic group of physicians invested in growing and advancing clinical programs, including Epilepsy Center collaboration, Neurocritical Care Unit, Neuroscience Intermediate Care Unit, Neurology med-surg unit, and a Neurology division lineup that supports a multidisciplinary Memory Care Center. - Research Based
. Neurology research has a proven impact on patient care; the department participates in NIH- and industry-sponsored studies as well as investigator-initiated projects. We have two full-time Neurology clinical research coordinators for IRB, trial, and registry support. - Education
. Our faculty are full-time academic staff at Tufts University School of Medicine, involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows (vascular neurology and neurocritical care). - Nationally Recognized
. Our staff are among the nation s leaders in advancing neurology diagnosis and treatment, with many clinicians recognized as "Best of Boston."
- BC/BE in Neurology and Headache Medicine, with the ability to obtain a Massachusetts medical license.

- Work shift
. Part-time, one clinic session per week. - Compensation
. Tufts Medicine offers a competitive salary commensurate with academic training and practice experience. A Tufts University School of Medicine appointment will be offered commensurate with academic qualifications. - Apply
