Nocturnist Physician

We invite a dedicated and compassionate Nocturnist Physician to join our established hospitalist team in Boston. This full-time position provides an excellent balance of admissions and inpatient care, with opportunities for teaching and academic appointment. Our program offers strong peer support, reasonable patient volumes, and a collaborative environment designed to help you thrive.

• Full-time, hospital-employed position
• Weekdays: 6:45 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekends: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (with one shift extending to 7:30 AM)
• One daytime weekend shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (covering 10 patients)
• Average 12 shifts per month
• Typical load: 4–5 admissions per shift with cross-coverage of 30–40 patients
• Team-based care with 9 nocturnists per night and sick-call backup coverage

• Competitive base salary: $265,000+ for new graduates; salary increases with experience

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Completion of an accredited residency program
• Eligible for Massachusetts medical license
• Hospitalist experience preferred, but not required
