ADS is a multi‑platform design system, and we provide the building blocks for Agoda and our white‑label partners to build better products faster. We are a cross‑functional team of designers, engineers, QA, accessibility experts and a product manager.

As a Senior Design Systems Designer at Agoda, you will be a key contributor to help us scale ADS to become a best‑in‑class design system. You’ll help our team lay scalable foundations, evolve our components and expand into new areas that can help Agoda unlock quality and efficiency in the organization. You will drive and continuously improve the collaboration with cross‑functional partners within our team, as well as makers across other product teams.

Your work will impact 1,000+ makers at Agoda and millions of customers around the globe. You’ll be expected to influence our strategy to ensure that the system evolves and continues to play a key role in how we build products  will ship well‑crafted and accessible designs that help our stakeholders across design & engineering ship products with improved efficiency, quality & building products our users love.

• Expertise:
  Bring your expertise in building design systems that balance flexibility, scalability, and ease of use. Your designs will scale across multiple platforms and use cases. Apply systems thinking to create reusable patterns that drive consistency. Consider competing needs and dependencies across teams to craft effective solutions.
• Advocating for Quality:
  Thrive in the details and be an expert in best practices, creating clean, modern UI systems. Push for accessibility and craft elegant solutions that work well for users of different abilities across various types of devices. Consider technical opportunities to drive delightful designs, whilst balancing the trade‑offs of implementation cost and long‑term maintenance. Build a deep understanding of our customers deeply, and use data to guide decisions and measure success.
• Collaborate & Evangelize:
  In this highly matrixed role, work proactively across teams to uncover needs, drive alignment, and generate enthusiasm for design system adoption. Establish and enforce healthy processes, driving alignment across teams with a clear impact. Coach mid‑level and junior designers to become better design systems designers.

• 6+ years of experience working in user experience, product, or relevant design field
• 3+ years experience working in an explicit design systems role
• User‑Centered Design approach, designing interfaces that prioritise user needs, behaviours, and accessibility
• Knowledge of design systems, developing and maintaining design systems for consistency across large platforms
• Interaction Design experience, creating engaging experiences with animations, transitions, and micro‑interactions
• Visual Design Skills, mastery of typography, colour theory, layout, and visual hierarchy
• Excellent proficiency with relevant tools, standards and frameworks (Figma, Design Tokens, WCAG etc.)
• Experience working with diverse stakeholders in a large organisation – designers, engineers, and product managers
• High‑level understanding or experience with front‑end development concepts (HTML/CSS/JS)
