The Role
Suffolk is seeking a creatively curious, visually driven Assistant Marketing Manager who is excited about design, visual storytelling, and graphic tools and technology. This role is ideal for someone who loves crafting clean, modern layouts; designing compelling graphics; and supporting pursuit teams with materials that look professional, polished, and on-brand.
At Suffolk, you ll refine your design craft, explore new creative techniques and technologies, and contribute to pursuit materials that help position Suffolk as the builder of choice. You ll collaborate with operations, estimating, and business development teams to create visually engaging RFQ/RFP submissions, presentations, and marketing collateral.
This is a hands-on production and design role—perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and excited to bring creative ideas to life.
Responsibilities- Design and produce visually engaging RFQ/RFP submissions, interview presentations, and pursuit collateral.
- Create clean, consistent layouts and graphics that align with Suffolk s brand and clearly communicate key messages.
- Use strong graphic design skills—and an interest in AI-powered design tools—to support concepting, visual ideation, and workflow efficiency.
- Develop customized resumes, project sheets, infographics, diagrams, and experience lists tailored to specific client needs.
- Translate technical information into simple, visually digestible graphics and narratives.
- Participate in kickoff meetings to understand project requirements, messaging priorities, and visual direction.
- Assist with content development, organization, formatting, and production of final submission materials.
- Maintain brand consistency across all pursuit materials, applying typography, color, and layout standards.
- Help manage timelines, coordinate deliverables, and ensure work stays on track to meet deadlines.
- Support efforts to refine templates, improve visual standards, and explore new AI-enabled design approaches.
- Conduct research and assist with visual collateral for business development efforts.
- Contribute to lessons-learned sessions and help document best practices for continuous improvement.
- Provide support to teammates and assist junior/seasonal staff when needed.
- 3-5 years of experience in AEC marketing, graphic design, or related creative roles.
- BS/BA in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
