Currently, we are seeking a talented individual for the role of Principal to join our team. This individual will be responsible for leading the interview presentation, enhancing and growing relationships with clients, and supporting clients during public meetings. This leadership role will be responsible for project team motivation, recognition, and morale. The position will offer the candidate opportunities to grow within the firm and exposure to an innovative, fast-paced, and highly collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Represent E4H and maintain client relationships
- Act as primary liaison between E4H team and client/owner
- Serve as leader to project team and consultants
- Responsible for project success and oversight of scope, schedule, and budget
- Provide solutions for projects and team challenges
- Define program requirements and establish project parameters based on client needs
- Provide long-term planning for clients and their future projects
- Create and develop overall project/design concepts; formulate project presentation strategies and client presentations
- Work with all consultants throughout design phases
- Maintain project budget and communicate updates with owner
- Manage client interaction and decision making related to projects
- Mentor, train, and guide project teams
Requirements
- Licensed Architect preferred
- At least 7 years of experience
- Knowledge of local, state, and national building codes, regulations, and approval processes
- Experience in all phases of project management and design, including long-term planning and budget management
- Knowledge of building materials, construction methods, costs, and code applicable to the design process
- Knowledge of current trends and areas of future growth within the industry
- Experience in public speaking
- Ability to successfully manage client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination
- Evaluate design alternatives based on site and code requirements
- Experience in the marketing process, client interviews, and relationship building
- Proven track record in creating and maintaining a client network and in leveraging that network into design opportunities
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership qualities
- Ability and willingness to travel as necessary
