A Dental Hygienist is a licensed member of the dental team responsible for the preventive aspects of oral health that provide clinical, education and therapeutic services that promote optimal oral health. This position is responsible for:
Collecting patient and clinical date by reviewing and updating medical history, identifying contraindications and requesting medical clearance as necessary, performing oral cancer screenings and perio assessments, charting dental findings. Practicing infection control by maintaining a sterile environment in the operatory, inspecting instruments for sterility. Practices universal precautions. Providing clinical services by exposing radiographs, performing dental cleanings, performing scaling and root planning with the local anesthesia, dispense fluoride and administer therapeutic agents.
Providing patient education by reviewing home care, oral hygiene instructions and reviewing treatment plans with the patient.

Required Skills- Associate’s/Vocational Degree Required and Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
- Three to Five years of work experience.
- Dental Hygienist license required.
