You’ll be responsible for building a steady drumbeat of timely, useful posts that make Cambridge & Somerville coverage feel alive, immediate, and indispensable.

This role is not about being a personal influencer; it’s about creating a strong voice that delivers value to the community and builds loyalty to Globe Media products.

This role is temporary, lasting 6 months.

• Provide fast, practical updates: MBTA delays, detours, weather impacts, street closures, outages, parking bans.
• Share verified “what’s known now” posts during public-safety events (fires, police activity, roadblocks).
• Surface civic and community signals: school notices, city service changes, construction milestones, campus events.
• Curate coverage from The Globe, , and Boston Magazine: restaurants, patios, festivals, presented through our unique lens.
• Capture and publish short photos/videos to bring immediacy and authenticity to posts.
• Curate content from disparate sources across the region.

• Publish across Instagram, Tik Tok, Threads, newsletters
