Job Description
Theatre Costume Coordinator
The BHCC Theatre Program (Charlestown Campus) is looking for a Costume Coordinator on an upcoming production of John Proctor is the Villain. This role involves mostly purchasing or renting as our stock is minimal.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with director and costume designer to realize costume vision.
- Coordinate costume construction, alterations, pulling, purchasing, or rentals.
- Organize fittings, take notes, and oversee necessary adjustments.
- Oversee wardrobe crew and student assistants.
- Coordinate backstage quick changes.
- Ensure timely completion of garments ahead of tech rehearsals and costume maintenance through the run.
- Building Period 2/2-3/25
- Tech Week: 3/26-4/1
- Performances: 4/2-4/4
- Weekly 3hr drop-in work session with student workers (flexible schedule).
- 1 weekly 1hr zoom productions meetings.
- All other working hours are flexible according to the needs of the project (up to 50hrs total).
- Have flexible availability during the building period, tech week, and performances.
- Experience working with students/ professional theatre performances.
Salary: $2,100 to be paid as a stipend.
