Children’s Services of Roxbury (CSR) is one of Massachusetts' largest Black‑owned and operated non‑profit organizations. This year marks our 50‑year anniversary, and we need you to help us continue our mission to provide high‑quality services to economically disadvantaged children, youth, families, and individuals—promoting and strengthening family life and individual growth. CSR’s mission is to bring peace of mind to families across Massachusetts by providing housing for homeless families, culturally attuned behavioral health services, foster care for abused and neglected children, affordable childcare for homeless children, and youth development programs.
CSR works with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) to provide direct services and support to parents/guardians and their children. Immediate concrete services include support in parenting, family medical, mental health and community access, educational/vocational career assistance, and assistance with legal issues such as domestic violence, probation obligations, court‑ordered CRA issues and follow‑through.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Weekly home visits with families, sometimes after 5 pm; meeting and connecting with each parent where they are.
- Weekly collaboration with collateral partners (DCF, service providers, etc.).
- Response to emergencies such as child crises, hospitalizations, emergency meetings, school meetings, etc. when necessary
