Telecom Expense Management Analyst

Boston, MA

Our client operates one of the nation’s largest mass transit systems, serving millions of residents across a broad regional network of bus, rapid transit, streetcar, trolley, and commuter rail services. The organization maintains a diverse fleet and extensive infrastructure to deliver dependable public transportation and continues a long tradition of innovation and progress.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and interpret telecommunications billing data to validate charges and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
  • Develop reports and presentations to communicate findings to management and stakeholders.
  • Track and monitor KPIs for telecommunications usage, costs, uptime, and time to repair.
  • Review contracts to ensure favorable rates and terms, with knowledge of ITT
    72 considered a plus.
  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve billing disputes and service issues.
  • Stay current on telecommunications technologies and industry trends.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of all telecommunications assets and services.
  • Verify E‑911 location information for applicable services.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline expense management.
Experience Requirements
  • 5 or more years of experience in telecommunications expense management with a clear focus on expense management versus general telecom analysis.
  • Hands‑on TEM experience on the cellular side with emphasis on cost controls.
  • Advanced SQL and Excel proficiency for data analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with ITT
    72 (preferred).
