We combine a mix of software tools that a repair shop needs to run a highly profitable shop, in one user-friendly, cost-effective platform. Through the Steer suite, we allow the shop owner to get back to focusing on what matters, and to stop worrying about marketing and customer retention.
Steer began as an online directory for drivers to find a local mechanic and has evolved into a complete CRM marketing suite with text messaging, email automation, direct mail integration, reputation management, appointment reminders, declined/recommended services, and more. In August 2024 Steer acquired Auto Ops, a leader in modern, integrated scheduling software for auto repair shops."
The Role
We’re building a new team in a rapidly growing auto tech vertical—and we’re looking for an Inside Sales Representative to help us make it happen. In this role, you’ll uncover new business opportunities, book product demos, and guide customers through a fast, consultative sales process. Hybrid in Waltham, MA (3 days onsite per week; 5 days a week for first 90 days to train)
Compensation$90k OTE ($60k base + commission)

- Make high-volume outbound calls and lead online product demos.
- Become an expert in our SaaS product and target market.
- Maintain accurate sales records and forecasts in our CRM.
- Use a consultative approach to tailor solutions to prospect needs.
Must Have
- 1+ years of sales experience with proven quota attainment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work onsite in Waltham, MA, 3 days/week.

- Automotive industry knowledge.
- CRM expertise for pipeline management.
- Experience with a fast sales cycle (1-2 call close).
