Our client is seeking a Manager of Incentive Compensation to join their Commercial Excellence IC team. This role reports to the Director of Incentive Compensation and is responsible for the design, analysis, and administration of sales incentive compensation plans and contests across U.S. commercial business units.
This position collaborates closely with cross‑functional partners in Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, Legal, and Compliance to develop compensation strategies that are effective, motivating, and fiscally responsible.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and ongoing administration of sales incentive compensation plans aligned to commercial objectives. Develop reporting and tracking mechanisms for key stakeholders.
- Identify and implement process improvements, system automation opportunities, and data enhancements based on historical performance and sales leadership feedback.
- Stay informed on market trends and internal needs to proactively anticipate stakeholder requirements.
- Recommend innovative incentive strategies to enhance competitive advantage.
- Conduct impact analyses on potential plan changes and partner with sales leadership on plan evolution over time.
- Ensure all compensation plan designs are communicated clearly, accurately, and effectively.
- Develop monthly accrual forecasts to ensure alignment between financial budgets and incentive structures.
- Manage administrative activities including roster maintenance, purchase order creation, payroll file management, and compensation plan support.
- Maintain consistent compliance with quarterly IC calendar activities and ensure timely submission of all deliverables.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business-related field required.
- 4+ years of progressive Commercial Operations experience within a corporate environment.
- Experience working with pharmaceutical manufacturers or consultants/vendors preferred.
- Understanding of specialty pharmaceutical markets preferred.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts and communicate them clearly to stakeholders.
- Domain expertise in Incentive Compensation, with the ability to solve complex business issues creatively in a dynamic environment.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Advanced Excel proficiency (including advanced lookup functions, pivot tables, macros, and data management).
- Experience with data querying and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Proven relationship‑building skills and ability to reach consensus across diverse teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable making decisions with incomplete information while applying sound judgment.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated track record of creating scalable process improvements.
- Ability to travel up to 10% to attend regional and national meetings.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
