Overview

EY-Parthenon is seeking a Strategy and Execution-Commercial Due Diligence Senior Associate/Consultant. You will work within EY-Parthenon Strategy to help clients with high-profile transactions, combining strategic thinking with execution capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Consultants identify and analyze the client’s most strategic issues. They are typically the primary client contact, responsible for developing work plans, designing and conducting analyses, synthesizing conclusions, and managing other case team members. Responsibilities may include developing growth strategies, performing due diligence on acquisition candidates, assessing target attractiveness, understanding new markets, turning around underperforming institutions, driving cost reductions and implementing change, and taking on immediate management responsibility as needed.

  • Perform secondary research using a variety of sources (e.g., analyst reports, market research reports, news articles).
  • Execute analyses such as customer segmentation, market sizing, competitor analysis, and macroeconomic forecasting to support strategic recommendations.
  • Design and execute in-depth interview guides with key stakeholders, industry experts, and customers.
  • Analyze business plans and pro-forma financial models to identify key assumptions and drivers.
  • Manage and direct the analytical efforts of junior team members at the Associate and Senior Associate levels.
To qualify for the role, you must have
  • Outstanding academic performance, with a bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree with approximately 18 months of related work experience.
  • Experience in strategy consulting, private equity, investment banking, market research, or a quantitative research function.
  • Ability to assess industry, products, markets, competitors and customers to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Proficient in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness and ability to travel (approximately 25-50%).
Ideally, you’ll also have
  • MBA or graduate degree with at least 18 months of related work experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving, project management, facilitation and interpersonal skills.

  • Comprehensive compensation and benefits package; base salary range in the US is $130,000 to $185,000, with total rewards including medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k), and paid time off. Salaries are determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
  • Hybrid work model: most client-facing roles are expected to be in-person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project, or year.
