Role overview

The Trust and Safety Specialist plays a vital role in maintaining Marketplace Integrity and Payment Service functions within the Trust and Safety organization s specialist is responsible for ensuring that our platform remains trustworthy and safe for all users by managing sensitive data and supporting essential operational processes. This role is ideally suited for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in operations, data integrity, legal compliance, and fraud prevention within marketplace environments.

What

you'll do
  • Marketplace Integrity:
    • Reviewing user-generated content and listings for policy violations, mitigating suspicious activity as needed
    • Support fair and transparent auction moderation processes, using sound judgment to resolve escalations and foster marketplace trust.
      • Verify buyer and seller identities and review auction cases to prevent fraud, ensure compliance, and document outcomes using dedicated tools.
      • Moderate vehicle adverts and real-time advert changes for accuracy, legitimacy, and adherence to platform policies, approving or rejecting as appropriate.
      • Collaborate across teams to log decisions, respond to alerts, and address possible scams or non-compliance, maintaining high operational standards.
  • Data Accuracy Management:
    • Process change of ownership for dealer customers and perform functions tied to maintenance of dealer database accuracy across internal tools
  • Operational Coverage:
    • Serve as operational point of contact and provide backup across key workflows including payment and vehicle ontology operations, collaborating effectively with cross-functional partners on the Marketplace Integrity and Payment Services team within Trust and Safety.
  • Executing operational playbooks for handling account or transaction fraud
  • Applying risk management frameworks and recommending process improvements for emerging threats
  • Participating in post-incident reviews and updating documentation of playbooks and escalation procedures
What you'll bring
  • 2-4 years of experience in operations, trust & safety, marketplace integrity, or a similar domain
  • Demonstrated knowledge of marketplace data systems, fraud prevention tactics, and regulatory compliance
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in time-sensitive situations
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative abilities, with excellent written and verbal communication
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, multi-tasking, and adapting to evolving operational responsibilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
