Mattapan Health and Rehabilitation Center
We are looking for a friendly, upbeat, reliable Part Time (evening 4p-8p Mondays, Tuesdays, and Friday) Front Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact to represent our amazing long term healthcare facility at Mattpan Healthcare and Rehab.
Work Experience RequirementsExperience:
At least (1) year experience working with a multi-phone system. Preferably in a nursing home setting.
- Must be very pleasant and professional.
- Greet patients, visitors, families with a positive, helpful attitude; provide exceptional customer service.
- Provide assistance and guidance to visitors, directing them to various locations.
- Ensure visitors are checking in and out of the building.
- Get identification from agency, vendor visitors.
- Answer phones for a multi-line phone system.
- Answer, forward, and return calls in a timely manner.
- Field calls from families, hospitals, nursing homes, patients, physicians, etc.
- Take and dispatch emergency and non‑emergency messages.
- Remain pleasant and professional with callers, and stay calm under pressure.
- Work hand in hand with coworkers.
- Check office voicemail, return calls and forward to other team members as necessary.
- Enter resident demographics into Point Click Care.
- Maintain client account information.
- Handle Protected Health Information.
- Assist in the processing of AP invoices and payments including coding, filing, data entry.
- Scan and store documents into document management systems or databases.
- Respond to vendor payment request calls by sending information to Corporate Accounts Payable as applicable.
- Distribute mail/package deliveries throughout the office.
- Monitor Roam Alert alarms and respond in accordance with policy and procedure.
- Handle occasional pressure due to multiple calls, inquiries, locating personnel, etc.
- Forward medical reports, Express Mail, mail, etc., to the appropriate personnel and/or resident.
- Utilize the public address system and beepers in accordance with established procedures.
- Respond to emergency calls following established protocol.
- Communicate effectively during routine and emergency situations.
- Ensure the lobby is maintained in an orderly and clean manner.
- Perform duties in a safe manner.
- Demonstrate an attitude of cooperation and professionalism when dealing with peers and supervisors.
- Adhere to all aspects of customer service, including empathy, courteous communication, and respect for others.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Consistent, professional dress and manner.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Good time management skills.
- Multitasking capability without compromising on quality.
- Ability to contribute positively as part of a team, assisting others as needed.
- Strong history of customer service.
High school diploma or GED.
